Spencer Tunick is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York, who creates temorary site-related installations in public spaces with large groups of volunteers who are nude. The dynamic tension between the participants' bodies and the outside world highlights the vulnerability of human nakedness and the anonymity of public space. Tunick's photographs--which are simultaneously records of the performances and works of art in their own right--have been shot at events throughout the U.S. and in European cites such as Vienna and Basel.
