SITE Santa Fe's 2003 programs and exhibitions, and will contribute to the
ongoing campaign to match the prestigious Ford Foundation Challenge Grant,
the funds from which will grow SITE Santa Fe's endowment.
The weekend will kick off on Friday, July 11 with a public preview from 10
am to 4 pm. A private preview for benefit auction ticket holders will be held
from 5 to 6:30 pm. On Saturday, July 12, ticket holders will have the chance
to view the works at a second private preview from 10 am to 12 noon. The main
event will begin at 5 pm with a Champagne and Caviar Preview Reception during
which ticket holders will be able to bid on works in the silent auction and
preview art in the live auction. The live auction will begin at 7 pm, and
will include approximately 19 works by leading contemporary artists. Afterward,
a dinner will be held at a private home for successful bidders, participating
artists, and Sponsor Ticket holders.
The weekend promises to be a highlight of the lively Santa Fe summer social
season, and the auction is expected to draw many important contemporary art
collectors, a large number of whom own homes in Santa Fe. The date coincides
with both the summer vacation season in Santa Fe and the biannual Santa Fe
Art Fair--which will also draw major international collectors to town.
Tickets are $500 and $250. For more information or tickets, please contact
