Bonadies' photography focuses on memory, the archive, and the visibility and invisibility of cultural structures and city spaces. Her exhibitions include, among others: Santa Fe SITELines 2018 Biennial: New Perspectives on Art of the Americas, Casa Tomada, USA; The Matter of Photography in the Americas, Cantor Arts Center, Stanford University, USA; A Universal History of Infamy, LACMA, Los Angeles and 18th Street Arts Center, Santa Monica, USA; West Side, galería Abra Caracas; Die Bestie ist der Souverän / La bestia es el soberano, WKV, Stuttgart, Germany and MACBA, Barcelona, Spain; El tormento y el éxtasis, Es Baluard Museu d'art modern i contemporani de Palma, Spain; Magical (un)Real: Entranced Land, Momenta Art, Brooklyn, USA, and Global Activism, ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany.

In summer 2012 she led the From Self-Building to Closed Communities workshop at the Summer School of the Faculty of Architecture and Town-planning of the Central University of Venezuela, together with Antoni Muntadas and Juan José Olavarría. Subsequently, in 2014, at the Research Triennial of the aforementioned Faculty of the UCV she gave a workshop called Reverse Project. In July 2015 she led the Exception Structures workshop in Barcelona, Spain, coordinated by the Idensitat platform, and in July 2016 the project culminated in an artist residency in Homesession and an exhibition by the workshop's participants. In July 2017 she gave the workshop Zona Intermedia organized by Idensitat, at Fabra i Coats, Barcelona.

She contributes to the magazines Campo de relámpagos, Colección Cisneros and Tráfico Visual.

She has received the following awards: a MAEC-AECID Grant in 2018 for the Real Academia de España in Rome, Italy; Artist Residency Program, Goethe-Institut Salvador-Bahia/Vila Sul, Brazil, 2017; Latinoamericana Experimenta-Sur Grant 2017, Bogota, Colombia; Residency Award 2016 at 18th Street Arts Center, Santa Monica, USA, bestowed by LACMA.
