Preparator
Exhibitions
SITE SANTA FE is seeking a preparator to support and assist all aspects of art and exhibition space preparation, installation, and de-installation. The Preparator demonstrates a solid foundation of skills that are emblematic of the industry, gained from employment at other fine art museums, cultural institutions, commercial galleries, design/build firms, or through artist assistant positions. Responsibilities include experienced art-handling, audio-visual/sound, and fabrication skills with demonstrated proficiency in at least one of those areas. Preparators assist in complex installation or de-installation projects. They have excellent communication skills and the ability to listen to, comprehend, and execute tasks in a timely and effective way.
SITE Guide
Creativity & Learning
SITE SANTA FE is seeking SITE Guides to activate our galleries by making visitors feel welcome and by engaging them in conversation about our ever-changing exhibitions. SITE Guides are also responsible for giving tours and supporting events hosted in our spaces. SITE Guides are expected to learn about the current and upcoming exhibitions through information provided by the Creativity & Learning Department and Exhibitions Department. SITE Guides work together as a part of a team and report to the SITE Guide Program Manager.
SITE Guides are scheduled during museum hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM with extended hours until 7:00 PM on Fridays), and may occasionally be scheduled for work during evening hours outside of normal operations. SITE Guides should also expect a short-term reduction in scheduling (approximately every 4-5 months due to exhibition construction), but will return to regularly scheduled hours after construction is complete. SITE Guides must be available on at least three days.
SITE Guide Manager
Creativity & Learning
SITE SANTA FE is seeking a part-time SITE Guide Manager to oversee and expand the SITE Guide Program. SITE Guides are SITE SANTA FE docents, who are trained as informal educators and offer tours, support education programs, and more. The SITE Guide Manager will manage and schedule SITE Guide, recruit and train new SITE Guides, organize and schedule tours, and ensure that all SITE Guides have the necessary knowledge and resources to provide an engaging and informative experience for our visitors. The SITE Guide Manager will also be responsible for expanding the program and creating more opportunities for SITE Guides to learn and engage with the public. The expansion will also include implementing scheduling and communication software to streamline communications among staff.
