Presented by the Santa Fe Music Collective, please join Arlen Asher to celebrate his 90th Birthday with a fantastic jazz concert featuring music from Christine Fawson, vocals and trumpet, Jim Ahrend, piano, Colin Deuble, bass, and John Trentacosta, drums. 

A true milestone in anyoneʼs life is reaching the age of ninety. In the jazz world that achievement is celebrated with a huge party and a concert in honor of that special artist, especially if he or she is still performing. Arlen Asher will reach both those milestones on May 7th. There will be a huge celebration planned in his honor, including a performance by this master musician who is still at the top of his game. Since Arlenʼs arrival in Northern New Mexico in 1958, the local music community has been graced with his outstanding musicianship and love of teaching. The Santa Fe Music Collective refers to him as a ‘musical treasure.’ Over the years Arlen has received every award given to an artist, from The Governorʼs Award for Excellence in The Arts, to most recently The New Mexico Music Commissionʼs Platinum Award. On May 5th at SITE Santa Fe, you will will have your own opportunity to celebrate with Arlen as The Santa Fe Music Collective presents a special event in honor of this great musician and beautiful human being.
