Artist Talk: Sara Genn with Taylor Walsh
UPCOMING
17 OCT 2026, 3-4 PM
Marlene Nathan Meyerson Auditorium
Join artist Sara Genn for a wide-ranging conversation about what she calls "the sublime of the handmade." In dialogue with art historian Taylor Walsh, Genn will treat her origins painting en plein air in the Canadian Rockies, her embrace of the sleek geometries for which she is known, and the transformative role of desert light on her approach to making. Genn's concurrent exhibition at SITE SANTA FE features an outdoor mural, her largest work to date, and she will discuss the site responsiveness of this gradient of blues that merges seamlessly with the New Mexico sky.
