As part of NMSA Dance Department’s Inside/Out series, students will interpret the work of four artists and create a performance response on location at SITE Santa Fe. This installation of works is the last show in SITE Santa Fe’s 20/20 series, commemorating 20 years of exhibits and artists at SITE. Inside/Out is an exciting, community-centered site-specific performance series staged in Santa Fe’s communal spaces that connect student artists with Santa Fe’s vibrant communities in very public ways. In a four-hour intensive workshop, NMSA’s dancers will process themes and images within the exhibition and transcribe them to movement, presenting the results on the same day.
