An accomplished two-spirit performer who cut her teeth in Los Angeles and Las Vegas clubs, Lady Shug's performances have won awards ranging from an Art Matters grant in 2020 to Miss New Mexico Pride 2016 and Miss Sidewinders 2019. Her powerful artistry and advocacy have been featured on HBO’s We’re Here, in numerous national media outlets, as well as in Jeffrey Gibson’s TO NAME AN OTHER, currently on view in The Body Electric.

At the request of the artists, we will be collecting donations of school supplies for students and educators in Lady Shug’s hometown of Bloomfield, NM. Let’s help each other prep for a successful school year!
