The Dexter Gordon Legacy Band – Featuring iconic drummer Louis Hayes, who appeared on the Grammy winning Dexter Gordon “Homecoming” album – George Cables, master pianist who toured and recorded with Dexter for over 10 years – tenor saxophonist Doug Lawrence, featured soloist with the Legendary Count Basie Orchestra for the last 20 years and handpicked by Dexter’s widow, Maxine Gordon, to fill this chair, and veteran bassist John Webber who worked and recorded with Johnny Griffin, George Coleman among others, round out this incredible lineup.”
