Carmen Herrera Film Screening and Long Table Conversation

Join us for a screening of The 100 Years Show followed by an interactive Long Table conversation about the film and Carmen Herrera's work.

The 100 Years Show is a 2015 short documentary film directed by Alison Klayman following Cuban-American minimalist painter Carmen Herrera as she celebrates her 100th birthday.

For more information on Carmen Herrera's life and work, explore the Documents of Latin American and Latino Art database, created by the International Center for the Arts of the Americas at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

The Long Table is a non-hierarchical, democratic forum for public discussion. Initially devised as a creative response to conventional hierarchies of ‘expert panels’ and ‘audience questions’, event attendees are invited to both observe and contribute to the conversation. Anyone is welcome to take a seat at the table and offer their individual perspective on topics presented by the film, exhibition, or SITE SANTA FE staff.
