Three Sisters Recipe Swap and Potluck Picnic: Ximena Garrido-Lecca
UPCOMING
04 OCT 2025, 12–2 PM
SITE SANTA FE
Join us for a communal afternoon of food, storytelling, and shared heritage at our Three Sisters Recipe Swap & Potluck Picnic, inspired by artist Ximena Garrido-Lecca’s ongoing garden project at the 12th SITE SANTA FE International. Rooted in the traditions of the Three Sisters—corn, beans, and squash—this gathering celebrates Indigenous agricultural knowledge, seasonal cooking, and the ways food connects land, memory, and culture.
Bring a dish to share that features one or more of the Three Sisters crops, or a recipe that holds personal meaning related to family, place, or tradition. You’ll have the chance to swap stories and recipes with neighbors, learn about Ximena’s garden as an artistic and ecological practice, and enjoy a community picnic among her work.
This event honors the land-based knowledge systems that shape our region, while making space for new cultural exchanges rooted in food, care, and community.
