“Streetwise” offers a concretization of a memory of a previous experience for Juan Munoz. That experience was an installation created for Dia Center of the Arts in New York during the summer of 1996.

For SITE Santa Fe, Munoz revisits this site existing now only in the imagination, exploring its ramifications in retrospect. A sense of loss is a constant in Munoz’s aesthetic, symbolized my metamorphosing experiences that promote moods of melancholy, rage and solitariness through his multimedia works.
